At Thuis van Huis we believe that good childcare is more than just 'babysitting'.

It is about safety, security and the feeling of trust for the parent, the host parent and especially for the child.


Our name says it all: we want a Home from Home for every child.


Our working method revolves around four core values that are reflected in everything:

  • Personal attention – We listen to what you find important and look for a childminder who really suits your child.
  • Easily accessible – During childcare, we are easily accessible, with short lines of communication, offering a listening ear and providing support where necessary.
  • Certified – Every childminder is carefully screened, supervised and registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK).
  • Professional – We offer various free peer consultation and theme evenings, as well as first aid training to maintain high quality.

Annemarie is the owner of the childcare agency Thuis van Huis. She worked for fifteen years on the management team of a multinational, five of which were in Kenya. With the arrival of her two children, her happiness lies closer to home. Annemarie delved into childcare, initially in her search for the best care for her son and daughter. Thuis van Huis launched in 2010.


When I was looking for childcare for my own children, I noticed a big difference in the level of commitment from childcare agencies. I also noticed a difference in the level of support and assistance they offer to maintain high quality. Quality and professionalism are very important to me. After all, your child is your greatest asset, something you entrust to the childcare provider.


Together with Corine and Kristel, we work passionately and enjoyably to provide high-quality, dedicated, and personalized childcare. We're a close-knit team where we prioritize easy access, short lines of communication, and a listening ear for parents and childminders, every single day. And it's precisely that extra step that we love to go the extra mile!

After completing her physiotherapy studies, she began working in the weight-loss industry, focusing on exercise and healthy eating. After the birth of her three children, she started working as a childminder in her own home and visited families in their homes for 10 years.


"I've been working at Thuis van Huis as a mediation officer since 2020. In addition to my administrative duties, maintaining contact with childminders and parents is an important part of my work. I can draw on my own experience as a childminder in this regard. I like to stay informed about what's going on.

I believe it's important that communication lines are short and that parents (and foster parents) feel heard. I strive for excellent childcare where every child feels at home. Every child has the right to a quiet place and a stimulating environment where they can develop at their own pace.

Kristel worked in business services for fifteen years. In 2013, she became a childminder with the childcare agency Thuis van Huis. In 2016, she joined Thuis van Huis as a placement officer.


I love working with and for children. My role at Thuis van Huis perfectly combines my experience as a childminder with my business background. As a mother of two, I can empathize with both parents and childminders.

I'm passionate about helping parents find a warm, safe space where their child feels comfortable and can thrive. I'm also available to host parents as a resource, colleague, or just for a friendly chat.
