What exactly is a childcare agency?
A childcare agency mediates between parents and childminders, handles administrative tasks such as drafting agreements, invoicing, collections, and cashiering. They also ensure that childcare meets all legal requirements. At Thuis van Huis, we add even more: personal guidance, support, a wide range of training opportunities, and activities for children. How does registration at Thuis van Huis work?
You can easily register online. We'll then contact you and guide you step by step, whether you're a parent or want to become a childminder.
Am I, as a parent, eligible for childcare allowance if the care is arranged through you?
Yes. If you meet the requirements, you are eligible. This is because we only work with registered childminders.
Parents can apply for childcare allowance from the Tax and Customs Administration via My Allowances. Apply within three months of the first day of childcare.

How are host parents checked?
All childminders are thoroughly screened by Thuis van Huis and the Municipal Health Service (GGD), registered with the municipality, and included in the National Childcare Register. A Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RIE) is conducted annually, and the GGD can visit at any time for an inspection. Thuis van Huis also conducts annual evaluations with the childminder and parent(s).
